I am a 17 year old girl who likes photography as a hobby. In the future I see myself as a tattooist or body piercer, but will still keep the joy for photography and photo editing.
My Photo-Shoot
Equipment Used: Canon EOS 250D, VSCO Cam, Superimpose
My image relates to time as it projects a metaphorical atmosphere which has to do with time, identity, space, knowing and being. This includes the paranormal side of things and what comes after death, after our time is done. My artistic intention was to give off an eerie, metaphysical atmosphere. To edit these images, I first took an image of the background, and then another with the subject as the foreground. From this, I imported the images into Superimpose and removed the bodies from the image, leaving just the sheets. I also added shadow to the holes of the face to add more depth and allow it to stand out more. Finally, I took the image into VSCO Cam to layer a more mysterious filter by doing things like lowering the exposure and turning up the contrast. I enjoyed creating this outcome as a whole as I am proud of it and the techniques I used in superimpose. It's also quite a unique concept that isn't seen very often. To improve this photo shoot, I would have spent more time when removing the body in some images, as the editing can be seen in some areas, and I would have also lowered the exposure in some areas in one photo as it is a bit over exposed.
