BCA LEVEL 3
My images relate to the theme of time because I wanted to capture light in a certain moment either using shutter speed or just capturing the picture at the right time. I wanted to show how light can create different types of movement if you capture it at the right time or to show how you can manipulate light over a period of time to create shapes.
During the editing process, for the majority of my photos I chose not to crop them as my backgrounds were mainly black so I did use levels to adjust the amount of darkness in contrast to the lights. As my photos used light as the main focus, sometimes an image would be over exposed or the white balance would be off so the lights wouldn't be as vibrant as I would have wanted, so I used the vibrancy tool to change the appearance along with brightness and contrast tool.
To remove faults such as blur, I would use the sharpen tool over that area to bring out the details, then I would smart sharpen the image to bring out any tiny details that could have been enhanced. To remove fingerprints especially from my natural scanned image, I used either the smooth tool to tone down the detail then use the clone tool to copy the background over the top of the marks.

This website could be used as a good example of my work and what I am capable of doing and my editing skills. In one of my pictures ( rainbow lights ) I manipulated the shape by distorting and stretching it out of shape into something that looks like sound waves. For my other images I didn't manipulate them as each one showed a different type of movement in them and didn't need the added effect. I didn't face an legal of ethical issues when creating my photoshoots. However, in my lighter picture I did face some health and safety as I was using a flame up close to the camera and my hand at the same time, as I didn't wanna burn my self. Also, when creating the trail of lights in the first photo, I used fairy lights and spun them around so I had to make sure I was hitting anything or anyone around me.
